Meet Matt, the hands
behind MST.
Matt left school at sixteen to train as a carpenter in the UK, learning sash window work from seasoned craftsmen. Today he runs MST Window Repairs in Sydney and still oversees every job himself.

MEET MATT
Learned in England.
Now in Sydney.
Sash window restoration is a niche craft, and one Matt is passionate about. He left school at sixteen to learn carpentry in the UK, where sash windows are part of the fabric of almost every street. After moving to Sydney his skills were quickly in demand, and a local restoration company snapped him up. Before long Matt took the next step and started MST Window Repairs.
Today he combines time honoured joinery with modern performance: brush pile draught proofing, vacuum insulated glazing and discreet hardware. The result is a properly restored timber window that can match, or outperform, a new one.
MST is kept deliberately small. Matt quotes, oversees and signs off every job himself, which is why builders, property managers and homeowners return to him time and again. Away from work you will find Matt in the surf with his local boardriders club, or on the sideline at his daughter's soccer games.

WHERE CRAFTSMANSHIP MEETS INNOVATION
Restore the window you have. Don't replace it.
Original timber sashes were built from old growth hardwood that simply isn't available today. Properly restored and sensitively upgraded, they outlast most modern replacements and keep your home's character intact.
WHAT YOU'LL NOTICE
Quieter rooms
Sealed gaps and acoustic glass take the edge off Sydney traffic and flight paths.
Warmer winters
Brush pile draught proofing stops the cold air and lost heat at the source.
Effortless operation
Rebalanced sashes glide open with one hand and stay exactly where you leave them.
Original character
Every upgrade is discreet, true to the original design and invisible from the street.
